    Paul Janeski

    Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site!! I’m a licensed professional counselor and life coach who caters to the mental health and lifestyle needs of gay men. In my now 8 years of Private Counseling Practice, I have worked with a variety of populations, both straight and LGBTQIA+.  I know that there are plenty of great counselors and coaches out there, but how well can a cisgender, straight man (or straight or gay woman) understand the specific needs faced by gay men? I have personal experience with depression, anxiety, and internalized homophobia.

    Paul was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. A graduate from Bishop Hannan High School, Paul went on to complete a double major in music and psychology from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, PA. Paul’s struggle with depression and anxiety is what inspired him to want to help and work with others. He believes that this personal experience provides him with an increased level of empathy and understanding when working with his clients.Paul is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Paul has also earned a certificate of advanced graduate study in counseling from The University of Scranton and possesses a nationally recognized certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). He is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and holds a certification as an Advanced TBHI Telebehavioral Health Practioner.  Paul is proud to have over twenty-four years of experience working with various populations, including; developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health disorders, physical disabilities, career choices, child behavioral issues, couples, vocational rehabilitation, addiction, the LGBTQ community, and crisis intervention.
